Why Would Anyone Want To Make Stained Glass??

**UPDATE** The website is almost ready. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter at the right FREE of charge to learn firsthand the tips and techniques of building stained glass, where to get tools cheap, everything you'll need to start, and all the other insider items that experienced Stained Glass experts know!!!

So Randy and I were talking recently and I wondered why he ever wanted to start doing stained glass creation and what it took in a simple outline to get rolling.

He is a very creative and talented guy, but I never thought stained glass would be something he'd be interested in - he's kind of like the Marlboro Man.

So here is what he had to say - read closely b/c you will see how making stained glass could benefit you...

1. I love and wanted to work with my hands

2. It provided a wonderful form of relaxation

3. It also gave my brain some exercise as a form of creativity

4. The beginning is an investment but after the main purchases - its up
to you as to how much money you want to spend on a project.
The grinder is the most expensive- rest of tools are small dollars - we'll show you where to find great deals on these items.

5. Hobby to career- as he gets older - you can make it a fun hobby or even turn it into a neat little business.

6. It takes little room- Randy built a large table with shelves to hold the
glass
and tools and grinder- 1 piece of smooth glass to help in the cutting
of
glass- the other side of the table to layout the design.

7. Beginning is fairly easy if you start with the basics and work up to the more
complex
cuts with practice - you'll see improvement with each piece designed and
completed.

8. It gave me lots of pride in what I produced- try all types of designs- no limitations what
you
can create. Some people produce designs from books, some people create
their own designs from regular pictures, or from their own
imagination. There are no
no limitations.

9. It's fun to see the process of each piece of glass cut and added to the
picture-
You see the design come to life

10. I enjoy making gifts for family and friends- becoming treasures to keep-
never
go down in value. I can relate. He made a balloon for our son before he was born and it is a neat addition to his room. Very personal - made my wife cry a little.

11. Randy likes to do different finishes to complete the picture-
either
making a frame to stand or hang or put in a window.
uses different color on the sauter - black, gold, silver. It all comes back
to creativity and what your imagination can provide.

That is just a start, but it offers an outline as to why Randy started stained glass. It's amazing to see his work and how he goes from zero to something spectacular.

We will soon be displaying some of his creations for you to view so you know that he is not just some guy that is feeding you a line of bull.

There is much more to come and be sure to sign up for our newsletter to get even more indepth tips and techniques.

See you soon stained glass enthusiasts,

What do people do with stained glass???

Stained Glass Ideas! First Decide What You Want To Do With the Wonderful Stained Glass Creations You are About to Make.

What will you do with all this beautiful stained glass you are going to create? This article will give you a few ideas on what you can do if you put your mind to it.
Randy has done stained glass as gifts. Our 1-year old son received a balloon that we hung in his bedroom and when the light shines in the window it hangs over, it really stands out.

He has done stepping stones that lead from their back porch to their above ground pool. Not one person walked on them without making a comment. He took something drab and made it stand out.

He also did candle holders as gifts for Christmas this year, which went over really well with family. Sure, he could have given everyone a sweater or something boring (sorry if you gave sweaters this year), but the added touch that he made these himself was a favorite amongst our relatives.

There are so many options that only your mind and imagination can stop you. You could do anything around the house including windows or decoratives.

Stained glass windows for a bedroom add beauty and light at the same time. To have the art of stained glass on a bedroom window, choose a stained glass pattern that includes clear glass to contrast the colorful glass used in the design. This allows you to still see out, allow light in, and have the dramatic sparkle of color.

Consider doing a bathroom window that covers the entire window. This allows for
added color and privacy. Can really be neat addition to this area of the home.

Consider the idea of using stained glass over a mirror. The reflection causes an interesting effect. Very different flavor and I thought it would look weird. However, when I saw it in person, I was amazed to what stained glass can really do. Not just for churches, huh?

Use stained glass as sun catchers inside or put them outside to compliment your flowers and landscaping. Perhaps make a sign to welcome visitors.

Utilize your stained glass making skills to put them on front doors or
Kitchen windows. Again, it goes as far as your imagination. Don’t overdo it though as stained glass art in parts of your home make a wonderful addition and compliment other aspects of your home, but doing too much can make your home
look a bit odd. As they say, "everything in moderation."

Use stained glass for a hobby or business to relieve stress, enjoy creating something, make a few dollars from your art, or whatever your goals. Remember it is fun and rewarding to create something that very few people can do well, but many people enjoy observing.

Soon, we will be covering areas such as tools needed, how to learn this art step by step, costs, time, provide some free patterns, and we are going to start a newsletter to keep you up to date on the best stained glass information out there.

Welcome to the wonderful world of stained glass!

Hello out there in cyber world.

My name is Joe and my Step-father, Randy and I are going to embark on a wonderful
journey to bring you into our twisted, but beautiful world of stained glass and the art of making it.

Before we dive into all the fun and details this rewarding hobby or business (if you want to take it that route) can be, we want to introduce ourselves and tell you about our plans for the next couple of months.

Randy is a genius when it comes to the art of doing anything with his hands. After owning a multi-million dollar contstruction company with projects under his belt that are quite impressive, Randy has taken a new route in life by teaching his vast knowledge in a number of areas to others who enjoy learning what he knows. Even if he doesn't know something, he is able to pick it up within no time and simplify the process to others in a fun/understandable way.

Joe is on the other side of the coin. Taking and utilizing other people's knowledge and getting it out there to the world. An accountant by trade and entrepreneur by heart, Joe knows that there are people out there who would love to learn from an experienced teacher so they can one day become experts themselves or at least enjoy their work. Stained glass is a hobby that he is learning through the help of Randy.

In the coming months we will shower you with some great information pertaining to stained glass that could lead to other projects. Stay tuned for updates on some projects we are doing, how you can take advantage of tips and tricks of the trade, and some awesome activities in the stained glass world that you won't want to miss!
